Mary Jo Burgess - 74, Indianapolis, died November 27, 2012. Mary was born in St. Louis, MO on October 20, 1938 to the late J. Clement and Mary A. Burgess.
Mary was raised in New York City before moving to Indianapolis where she lived for 56 years. She attended Butler University and Indiana University where she obtained a Master's Degree in Education.
Mary worked for many years for Indianapolis Public Schools before retiring. She was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church, and a former member of Meridian Street United Methodist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Burgess. She is survived by her sister, Christina Burgess, and cousins in St. Louis.
