Mary Frances Scarpone

92, of Indianapolis entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2014 at St. Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove. She was born on May 18, 1921 in Indianapolis to August and Frances D’Ascanio Scarpone. Mary was employed by Link Belt for 42 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Oasis Club and volunteered at Fatima Retreat House, St. Elizabeth Home, Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Her sisters, Ida Polesel, Florence Burke, brothers Criss, William, Patrick Scarpone, and nephew Louis Polesel and niece Rosemarie Vian preceded Mary in death. She was the beloved aunt of James F. (Barbara) Burke, Billie Stubbs, Maureen Piontek, Patricia Burke, Thomas (Joan) Burke, Gus, Mike, Chris and Steve Scarpone and numerous great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Paul Hermitage. Visitation will be Friday, February 21st from 4-8pm at St. Paul Hermitage, Beech Grove and on Saturday, February 22nd until time of service.
