Michael Edward Rivers, age 74, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday December 7, 2018. Michael was born March 24, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late Robert and Burnett Rivers. Michael worked for Sexton Food for 10 years as a cook and prior to Sexton Food he worked for many years at Northwest High School as a custodian.
He is survived by his children; Annette, Gary and Michael Rivers, sisters; Martha, Sue and Pat, brother; Jerry and Don, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Sandy and Martha and a brother; Ronnie.
A visitation for Michael will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Family Funeral Care. A funeral service will occur Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Monday, December 31, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Wanamaker, IN.
