Mr. Lester Spells, Sr., 82, Indianapolis, transitioned from labor to reward on December 23, 2016.Mr. Spells was a member of Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church where he had been a musician for 46 years. He also retired from General Motors after 35 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 59 years, Shirley Spells; children: Lester Spells, Jr., David Spells (Angela), Paul Spells (Cherika), Deborah Wright (Michael), Cherly Randle (Al), Yvonne Blain (Lee), Vicki Hunt, Cathy Spells, Rhonda Garmon (Marcus), Diana Berryhill (Randy), Melissa Spells, Faith West and Ursula Dumes (Anthony); sister, Lurlilla Turney; 48 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and a host of extended family and friends. The visitation is Friday, December 30, 2016, 10am - 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration at 12pm at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church, 2147 W. 63rd Street. The interment is in Floral Park Cemetery.
