
William Alfred Patton was born on May 7, 1934 to William Fred Patton and Orabelle Milton Patton in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Crispus Attucks High School. He married Opal Maxine Twitty on May 11, 1955. This union was blessed with four beautiful children, two daughters and two sons.
William professed his faith in Christ as a young man, baptized by Bishop Arbie Clay at Pentecostal Apostolic Church and currently attended Grace Apostolic Church.
William had a strong work ethic, he was employed at Blue Bird Pie Company, Ralph Reeder Roofing Company, Grismac Corporation, GM Allison Gas Turbine, and recently retired from
Rolls Royce Corporation after giving 44 years of service. His coworkers fondly called him Pat. Pat was a member of UAW Local #933. Pat developed a taste for travel, was former president of the travel club for several years, and happy to take wonderful trips overseas. He lived life to the fullest, sharp dresser, and a true �"Cadillac†man, he had owned 13 Cadillacs during his lifetime.
William will always be remembered as a dedicated father and generous provider for his family and expressed kindness to others.
William departed this life on April 14, 2015. The family is especially grateful to the team of attentive caregivers. Special thanks to Marquette and St. Vincent’s Hospice.
William was preceded in death by his wife Opal Maxine Twitty-Patton, two sons Gregory K. Patton, William A. Patton, Jr. (Littleman), and sister Patricia S. Patton Duke-Greer.
William leaves to cherish his loving memories to daughters Deborah K. Patton Wilson, Jerri L. Patton, three granddaughters Desire’ N. Helms Williams (Henry), Dior J. Johnson, BreOnna M. Patton, two grandsons Jon Christopher McCray (Brittany),
5 great-grandsons Aaron J. Helms, Jon Carlos McCray, Naazir Christopher McCray, Jadon P. Williams, Aiden D. Williams, 1 brother Ronald C. Patton (Beverly) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
