Mr. Sam C. Davis, 82, Indianapolis, passed away September 30, 2016. He retired from Grady Brothers Asphalt and he was a long time member of Operators Local Union #103. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Annie Bell Peterson; siblings: Alvis C. Peterson, William Peterson, Earl Peterson and Rosa Lee Crockett.He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 53 years, Ruby Davis; children: Michael Davis, Sr., Gary Davis, Glenda Clayton (Kenneth), Angela Lander (Jerry), Roxie Harewood (David) and Terri Davis; siblings: Jerry Peterson (Vivian), Paul Peterson, Joseph Peterson (Kay) and Katie Allen Castleman (David); 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The visitation is Friday, October 7, 2016, 10am - 12pm, with the service at 12pm at Eastside Baptist Church. The interment will immediately follow in New Crown Cemetery
