

True began her early childhood in Huntsville, Alabama and attended Morgan County Training School in Hartsell, Alabama. Upon high school graduation, True was awarded the Valedictorian honor of her class and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to seek other opportunities.
After arriving in Indianapolis, True was employed at Community East Hospital. While working the evening shift True wanted to continue her education therefore, she enrolled in the IPS School of Practical Nursing (currently Ivy Tech Community College). True graduated in 1967 with her License of Practical Nursing.
True raised 6 children of her own and assisted in raising her nieces and nephews. True was a strong believer that education was necessary in life.
True retired from Community East Hospital, with over 32 years of service. True was in church her whole life and was dedicated to serving on the usher board. True was an avid sports lover and the biggest fan of any relative who played sports. True loved to travel for church events and personal pleasure.
True departed this life on February 3, 2015. True was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred C. Henderson Sr., siblings; Jessie Draper, Finnell Draper, Ellen Hayes, Hubert Draper, Annie Watkins, Ora Draper, Novella Draper, and her son Franklin Henderson.
True leaves to cherish her memory, siblings Oscar Draper and Isabella Toney; her children, Fred C. Henderson Jr., Floree Stallion, Farrell Henderson, Flozell Willis, Francis Henderson and Delores Hayes; and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.
