Ms. Constance Qazi

Constance Elaine DeBergalis Qazi, age 75, passed away on Friday, April 18th. She was born on Easter, March 31, 1939 in Rochester, NY to Anthony and Eleanor DeBergalis, and attended Hamilton High School in Buffalo, NY. Connie is survived by beloved children Shamim, Sara, Danyal and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Naseem. Surviving siblings are Noreen, Annette, Judy and Joseph. Connie was a much loved board member of the Italian Heritage Society and the Association of International Women among other volunteer activities. She was well-known for her vivacious and sparkling personality, ceaseless smile, generosity of spirit and warm embrace of all people. Connie will be profoundly missed by friends, family and all those �"adopted” kids who were always welcome to eat at her table. She was the first to respond to friends and neighbors in need of support at a difficult time along with a hug and plate of cookies or a Sicilian lemon cake. Friends and family will always have fond memories of gathering around Connie’s dinner table for her creative Italian cuisine and international gourmet specialties. The calling/viewing will be Thursday April 24th from 3 to 6 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 3700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Naseem Ara Qazi Memorial Scholarship Fund at Brebeuf Preparatory High School in Indianapolis.
