Paul Patrick Donahue

Paul Patrick Donahue, age 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. Paul was born on December 12, 1935 to the late Jeremiah and Rosemary Donahue. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1954. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and he served his country for 3 years, earning two medals for good conduct and expert rifleman. Paul married Cecilia F. Smutzki on July 14, 1956. Paul worked outside sales for Sears Roebuck and Company and retired after many years. He also attended Cooks Barber School in 1957. Paul was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He was the former Grand Knight of The Knights of Columbus Council 529. Paul is survived by his daughters, Darby K. (Bud) Durham and Margaret M. (Darrin) Roland; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia F. Donahue; parents, Jeremiah and Rosemary Donahue; and son, Paul Patrick Donahue, Jr. A visitation for Paul will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 12:00 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6944 E 46th St, Indianapolis, IN 46226. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6944 E 46th St, Indianapolis, IN 46226.
