Rhonda Suzanne Byrd of Indianapolis, IN was born to a Florence and the late Ronald Tansy on October 30 1955. Rhonda passed away June 26, 2020.
She married John Byrd, May 26" 1978 and just celebrated their 43'° anniversary together. Rhonda and John had five children Melissa (Chris) Johnny (Kathy) Joseph (Danielle) Eric (Rachel) Rachel (Preston). Rhonda has 20 grandchildren Pookie (Johnny), Ashley, Sierra, Marley, Joseph, Brennan(Boo), Brianna, Bryson, Kierstyn, Josh, Robert, Muryssa, Gavin, Eli, Erika,and Baby Presley due in December. She also had 2 great grandchildren Khailene and Leo. Rhonda was the oldest of her 6 siblings Steve (Shirley) Marcia, Brian (Donna), Carl, Darryl, Lori (Dennis) she loved them very much and talked about them often. Rhonda worked at various tow companys as a dispatcher throughout the years and retired from Wheelers Towing in 2017. She never met a person who didn't fall in love with her kind and giving soul and spunky attitude. Many over the years would call her momma, sister, aunt, friend, but most importantly their Mam. Rhonda is proceded in death by her grandchildren L.J and Kandance Byrd, her father Ronald, and her Step Father George Prittchet. She left a huge mark on all of our lives and will be Missed by everyone who knew her!
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Acton Cemetery.
