Robert Nelson Fall 85, Indianapolis - died January 5, 2013. Born April 8, 1927 in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Odell and Thelma (Richey) Fall.
Robert was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Transportation Corp from June 23, 1945 to February 26, 1947. Robert obtained the rank of Staff Sargent and supervised men in the medical duties of assisting medical officers in the care and treatment of patients. He was decorated with the American Theater Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Award, World War II Victory Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. Upon being honorably discharged from the service Robert worked for the A & P Tea Company as a Bakery Shipping Supervisor from 1948 to 1965. He then worked as a Branch Manager for Artie's and Jays Foods Corporations from 1965 to 1995.
Robert married Anna Maxine Hooper on June 6, 1946. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years; sons, Francis Raymond "Frank" Sumner, Robert Daniel "Dan" Sumner, Craig Fall; daughter, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Davis; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
