Robert D. Greene

90, of Indianapolis, passed away July 15, 2013. He was born November 9, 1922 in Indianapolis to Harry and Mary Leonard Greene. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific. He graduated from Butler University. Robert was an engineer with Western Electric for 36 years. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family traveling, boating and fishing. He was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, American Legion, Telephone Pioneers and Knights of Columbus. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Rita Elizabeth Bott Greene, children: Richard (Kay) Greene, Rita (Jeff) Linehan, Ronald Greene, Ruth Ann (Phil) Resparc, Robin (Jeff) Hensley, and Roger Greene, grandchildren: Kacie and Sean Linehan, Taylor, Natalie and Logan Resparc, Harrison, Davis and Justin Hensley. Visitation will be Friday July 19 at St Pius X Catholic Church from 9:30 – 11 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am.
