Robert Lee Hester, Sr. 78 of Indianapolis passed away Wed., May 16, 2012. He retired from Foster Security Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Survived by sons, Robert L. Hester, II, Lawrence H. “Bud” Hester, Vincent Hester, Anthony W. Jones (Kesha), Aaron O. Churchill and Anthony Williamson (Carla); daughters, Deborah L. Hester, Robin Hester Rush, DeAnna L. Hester Messer, Mary F. Black (Greg), and Kathy Tipton (Lee); mother, Blanche Hester; brothers, Walter J., “Jet” Hester, Nathaniel L. Hester (Marilyn) and Alvin W. Hester(Peggy) and Thomas White; sisters, Rev. Sallie L. Hester, Margarett A. Floyd, and Norma J. Wilburn; 32 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by father, two sisters, and one brother. Funeral Service will be held Wed. May 23, 2012 12:00 p.m. at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, 3418 N. Schofield Ave., calling from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Interment, Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN, Thurs.
