

Robert Nelson Ludy affectionately known as “Bob” was born on December 10, 1954, in Winchester, Indiana to Charles and Miriam Ludy. His father served in the Air Force, in which Bob had the privilege of living on Air Force bases in Georgia, Texas, Arkansas and Indiana.
Bob graduated from Portland, Indiana in 1972. He played the trumpet in band and was a trainer for the high school football team. Bob attended college at IUPUI Fort Wayne and also Ball State.
Bob was employed with the phone company for 45 years in Indiana and Ohio. He married Sue Lozier on September 2, 1984, and they welcomed their daughter Samantha in 1988.
Bob loved Indy Car Racing! He always looked forward to race season and going to the races with his daughter Samantha and spending time with his race family.
Bob was a loyal IU, Colts and Pacers fan. Throughout his life Bob made so many friendships, each and every one meant a lot to him, especially his “wingman”.
Bob was a generous, fun-loving and just an all-around great guy. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and a very proud grandpa!
Bob is preceded in death by his father Charles Ludy and brothers; Michael and Pat Ludy.
Bob is survived by his Wife Sue Lozier Ludy, Daughter Samantha McAfee, Son-in-law Pat McAfee, granddaughter Mackenzie McAfee, Mother Miriam Ludy, Brother Charles “Chu” (Christine) Ludy, Sister Kathy (Bob) Joy, Nieces; Megan (Chris) Neagll and Chelsea Ludy.
A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on July 1, 2024, attendees are asked to attend by invitation only.
