Robert Jerome Scisney

Robert Jerome Scisney, Sr., age 68 was born Monday, February 5, 1951 to the late William E. Scisney and Sylvesta Newby Scisney, in Earlington, Kentucky and entered eternal life, Monday, October 21,2019.

Robert was a man that loved life and making people laugh. He had a great since of humor and was a jokester and a teaser. He was a person that could lift your spirits and keep them there. He wasn’t a religious man, but he was spiritual. He enjoyed quoting Psalms 100;

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing”

Robert loved his family and seeing them smile. He enjoyed playing dominos and the card game Dad. He loved music and dancing. He especially loved Fred Sandford, and would do the Fred Sandford dance at the drop of a hat, and had it down to a tee.

Robert had a contagious laugh that keep people laughing just a bit longer. Whenever anyone asked what he’d have to eat, he would sing it,

“Pork chops, Lamb chops, Tee-Bone Steak,

Ice cream, Cookies, and any kind of Cake.”

His body may have left us, but his spirit will remain in our hearts for eternity.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, William V. Scisney and Kenneth R. Scisney, Sr., and a sister, Annie I. Scisney.

Robert leaves cherished memories to his son, Robert Scisney Jr; a brother, Larry E. Scisney; four sisters, Carolyn Bell, Jonell Scisney, Linda Scisney, and Phyllis Collier; three grandchildren, Shelby, Royce, and Mink; a host of nieces, nephews other special relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Robert will be held, 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2019, Guiding Light Church Assembly, 1701 Rembrandt Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm all taking place at the Church.

Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
