Ruby Rose Hoosier

94, of Indianapolis died November 28, 2017. She was born May 17, 1923 to Green Justice and Verna Ann Justice in Cyclone West Virginia. Ruby came to Indianapolis later in life where she married Oza Hoosier Sr. Ruby spent most of her life as a homemaker where her passion for cooking was shared with friends and family. Ruby enjoyed traveling to West Virginia on a whim as she would “get in the car and go” where she could enjoy the state she grew up in. Ruby liked to fish in her free time and loved to go to the Casinos or play Bingo. Ruby is survived by her children Sarah Langley (Ted), Thea Maynard (Terry), Okey Maynard (Sherry), Oza Hoosier (Maureen), A brother Johnny Justice of Berea, Kentucky, sister Charlene Dearduff of Kentucky, 25 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Oza Hoosier Sr., Sons Danny Maynard, Tommy Joe Maynard, Daughters Annette Penrod, Judy F Calloway, Step-Children Harold Hoosier, Bobby Hoosier, Judy Hoosier, Loretta Fillinger, and Louella Hoosier, Brothers Denver Justice, Sister Emma Zell Roberts of Pritchard West Virginia and Myrtle Queen. A special thank you would like to be extended from the family to Linda Maynard for all of the care she provided for Ruby over the years. Services will be Tuesday December 5 at 12 pm at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary with visitation from 10 until service time at 12. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
