Ruth Marie Whitney

Ruth Marie (Wilson) Whitney was born June 5, 1956 at Middletown Hospital, Middletown, Ohio to Alfred and Freda Wilson. She has two siblings Philip Wilson (deceased) and Margaret Pousardien. She lived in the Cincinnati area for twenty-two years then moved to Dayton, Ohio to teach school at Temple Christian School. After three years she moved to Indianapolis to be with her husband, Kenneth Whitney. Together they had one son, David Tyler (Sarah) and two grandchildren (Emma and Benjamin).

She homeschooled her son for six years then they both went to Gray Road Christian School where she taught Pre-school and substituted. Her desire was to see her grandchildren to become Christians. She also served in the community as an Oasis Reading aide and Hospice Volunteer. She also volunteered at Bible Study Fellowship as a Children's Leader.

A visitation for Ruth will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at New Palestine Bible Church, 5954 W. 300 S. New Palestine, IN 46163,

Ruth will be laid to rest at Valley Grove Cemetery.
