Sheree Ann Williams Buchanan

Indianapolis – Sheree Ann Williams Buchanan, 61, was born on September 5, 1955, to Gene and Verna Williams, and passed away on Friday March 10, 2017. Growing up on the west side, she was a 1973 graduate of Ben Davis High. Following her teen years, Sheree courageously made the decision to donate her one of her kidneys to her brother, Carl. By doing so, she not only saved and extended his life but helped to give him a quality lifestyle for over forty years that he would not have otherwise enjoyed. In the years that followed, she met and married the love of her life, Walter Buchanan. Together they reared two beautiful children, Amy and Jacob. Sheree was a loving wife and mother who embraced and supported her children in their school activities and her husband in the family business. She was also a devoted Christian and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Her commitment to her family and their needs never languished even during her recent illness. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Samuel Buchanan, and her older brother Carl Eugene Williams. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Walter Buchanan, daughter Amy (Richard) Shepherd, brother Flash (Carol) Williams of Georgetown, Kentucky, stepson, David Ross Buchanan (Kim), and very special grand-children Kora Ann and Ashleigh Shepherd and Elysia Buchanan, niece Lindsay Williams Greenwell (Steve) and great nephew, Brock Greenwell, step grandchildren Jordan and Bailey and sister-in-law, Ginger Williams, and god daughter Kinzley Thompson Visitation will be on Wednesday March 15th from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46237, funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood, IN.
