Stephen was the kindest, most generous, loving, caring and all around great dad, husband, uncle, grandpa and friend.
Stephen is survived by his daughter Kimberly Burkhead; his son Danny Grant; his son Matthew (Brad) Grant; his daughter Rebecca (Jimmy) Sickles; and his daughter Sara (Joe) Grant; his granddaughter Elizabeth Burkhead, his granddaughter Brittany (Tyler) Severance, his granddaughter Samantha (Mitch) Caster, his granddaughter Alexus Burkhead, his grandson Devon Walker, his granddaughter Emily (Jared) Riddle and his granddaughter Abby Sickles, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years Pamela Grant; his loving parents Paul and Zena, and his sister Paula Hockersmith.
He was a graduate of Manual High School class of 1963. Stephen served four years with the Marine Corp from 1963-1967. He retired with National Starch & Chemical after 35 years. He was a devoted member of Vineyard Community Church.
A celebration of life gathering for Stephen will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:00 PM.
Stephen will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. SR. 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
