

Willa matriculated through the Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from the historical Crispus Attucks High School. Willa Neal became Willa Rasdall on September 12, 1949 when she joined in holy matrimony with William "Eddie" Rasdall. To this glorious union, three children were born; Gloria "Jean", William Jr., and Darlene. Willa developed a love of singing as a young girl which contributed to her dedication to various singing groups around the city and in the church. She united with Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church; at a young age where she was a faithful and active member of various choirs until her health begin to fail. During her tenure at GSMBC she became well known and respected as the lead singer of "Jesus Will Fix It."
Willa's love for GOD first, her family and friends, aided in her becoming a fabulous homemaker and care provider. She provided childcare to all the family and the historical Haughville neighborhood children. She was well known through the community and the family for her famous mouthwatering homemade rolls. The sunset on the life of Willa Rasdall on December 5, 2018. She answered the calling from her heavenly father for eternal rest and to take her seat at the eternal family reunion; to be reunited with her husband William "Eddie" Rasdall Sr., her loving parents, two brothers, two sisters and a welcoming host of family members.
Willa's legacy leaves a melody that echos in the hearts of many devoted children; Gloria Thurman (Henry), William Rasdall Jr., and Darlene Johnson; nine grandchildren John, Cory, Henri (James), Camille (Anthony), Candace, Shanyon, Kim (Jerrod), Margarete, Gabrielle; twenty-one-great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law; a host of cousins nieces, nephews, family and friends.
