William D. Lund, 82, of Plainfield passed away Sunday, February 25, after a long battle with lung disease. He was born April 2, 1935, and married Sally Greenwood Lund on March 1, 1957. She survives. Bill owned his and operated his own business, Petco, Inc. for 25 years. He loved cars and “wheeling and dealing.”
He was a loving father to Penny Gootee (Kip) of Plainfield, Mindy Tieken (Barry Hoover) of Bloomington, and David Lund (Karen Searle) of Speedway. He was blessed with his grandchildren Kara Gootee Robinson, Ashley Gootee Mongan, Tai, Josh, Jake, and Nate Tieken, Derek and Alyssa Lund, and great grandchildren Jack, Blakely, Ameerah, Tripp, Kiptyn, and Ainsley.
