Wilma “Janet” Stern, 80, passed away on April 6, 2026. Born January 10, 1946, in Fleming, Kentucky, she was a faithful presence in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Janet lived in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Janet was married to Robert “Bob” for over 62 years. Janet’s family was a central part of her life, and she is remembered with deep respect and gratitude by those who shared in it.
Janet is survived by children Trisha (Curt) Langhammer, Tina Stern, and Benjamin Stern; and by her brother O’Neil (Linda) Potter. She is also survived by grandchildren Matthew Waggoner, Kyle (Tory) Langhammer, Alec Langhammer, and Claire Bryan; and great granddaughter Evelyn Langhammer.
Janet was preceded in death by son Robbie Stern; parents Willie T Potter and Rebecca Potter; and sister Della (Cliff) Clausing.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237, on April 11, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The family has asked that instead of sending flowers please spend time with your family, as that was most meaningful to Janet.
