Allen Darryl Daugherty Sr.

Allen Darryl Daugherty, Sr., 68, of Chunchula, died June 16, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1946. A devoted father and grandfather, he was a true Christian and member of Sanctuary Assembly of God Church. He was also a member of McIntosh Hunting Club and the NRA. He was a member of the Alabama National Guard and owned and operated an insurance agency. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie P. Daugherty, Jr. and Louise Allen Daugherty and a sister, Debi Busby. He is survived by his son, Darryl (Mary Ann) Daugherty; brother, Dane (Miriam) Daugherty; grandchildren, Hayden Grace Daugherty, Holden Daugherty and Hannon Daugherty; nephews, Sam Busby and Michael Daugherty; Neice, Deni Williams and her children, Chase Williams, Alex Williams and Jarrett Williams. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at McIntosh United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Revs. Kenneth Draughon and Jack Lee officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing. Active pallbearers are Michael Daugherty, Sam Busby, Tony Dean, Eddie Ballas, Jesse Fox and Phillip Fox.
