Barbara Brewer

Barbara McCants Brewer, 71, of Jackson, AL passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014. She was born on Sept. 9, 1943 in Camden Alabama to John Robert McCants and Ruby Lee Champion McCants. Mrs. Brewer was a member of Clearwater Assembly of God. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Jesse R. Brewer and sister, Roberta Jackson. She is survived by her sons, William R. “Billy” (Tammy) Brewer and Greg Brewer, both of Jackson; 3 sisters, Betty Ann (Roland) Nichols of Jackson, Mary (Elbert) Middleton of Jackson, Dinah (Jimmy) Ellis of Spanish Fort; 2 brothers, John R. “Spec” (Janet) McCants, Jr of Jackson and Nathan W. McCants of Orange Beach; 2 Sisters-in-law’s, Rheba McNeely and Peggy Wilder; 4 grandchildren, Jarod Brewer, Jessica B. (Dustin) Merchant, Jordan Brewer and Jacob Brewer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Carey McNeely, Dustin Merchant, Waylon Warren, Quinten Butts, John Middleton and Hunter Moseley. The family will receive friends at Lathan Funeral Home on Sun., Dec. 14, 2014 from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Mon., Dec. 15, 2014 at 11:00 at Clearwater Assembly of God with Rev. Jimmy Butts and Bro. Brian Jemison officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
