

Curtis Eugene Leonard, 50, of Walker Springs, entered into rest Sunday, December 28, 2014. A memorial service honoring his life will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 located at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, AL with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and service at 2:00 PM, Rev. Holden Smith will officiate. A native of Ft. Hood, TX, Mr. Leonard had been a lifelong resident of the Grove Hill and Jackson area. He was a truck driver with Silver Creek Logging and attended Jackson First Assembly of God. Curtis was married to his wife, Karen Leonard of 20 years, they were blessed with two sons, Shawn Claxton (Rachael) and Justin Leonard. He also leaves behind many family members and friends who will greatly miss his presence, smile, and laughter. Along with Curtis' love for his family he loved children and cared about the welfare of others.
