
Herbert Arnold Dorman, 77, of McIntosh, AL passed away on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at a local hospital. Mr. Dorman was born to the late Fred Dorman and Elsie Knapp Dorman. He was the owner of Dorman and Associates, Inc. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He was also a Gideon. Preceding him in death are his parents, infant daughter, Kelly Arlene Dorman; siblings, Marion Dorman, Quitman Dorman, Lavern Dorman, Mary Abling, Jessie Donald, Jody Gates, and Dolly Parnell; nephew, John Douglas Dorman. He is survived by his wife, Patsy of McIntosh; 2 children, Scottie (Laurie) Dorman of Wagarville and Lorie (Kevin) Kelley of Satsuma; 2 sisters, Virginia Odom of Deer Park and Eunice Johnston of Summerdale; 4 grandchildren, Ethan Dorman, Kelly Dorman, McKenzie Kelley and Avery Kelley; 1 great grandson, John Raleigh Dorman. Active pallbearers will be Ethan Dorman, Frank Daniels, Troy Phillips, Walt Phillips, Jack Johnston and Joey Richardson. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Bailey, Richard Stringer, K.D. “Buddy” Reynolds, James Cooper, mark Clark, Dr. Steve Donald, Wilton Bailey, Billy Long and Kenny Weaver. The family will receive friends on Wed., Oct. 22, from 6-8PM at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., Oct. 23 at 10am at Bethel United Methodist Church with Bro. Garry Williams, Bro. Larry Tillman and Bro. Bob Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery.
