

Marshall A. Lowery, 67, of Jackson passed away October 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 12, 1948. The sixth child of Ellis and Mae Belle Lowery, he enjoyed numerous hobbies, including writing stories, journals and poetry, photography, music and outdoor activities such as camping. He shared many of his writing and thoughts with his Facebook friends, but he was especially fond of one-to-one conversations. He retired from PowerSouth (AEC) in 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Ellis Lowery. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Loretta Pugh Lowery; children, Allison Rebekah Lowery, Nicholas Evan Lowery; grandson, Kai Rain Qualls; step-grandson, Matthew Skylar Qualls; siblings, Wynona Lowery Pelham, Laverne Lowery McDonald, Dorothy Lowery Dean, Alex Lowery and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial celebration will be conducted from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to attend. Samples of his many creative works will be displayed.
