Stansell Pete Carter Jr.

Stansell Pete Carter, Jr., 71, a resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015. He was born on July 25, 1943 and was a mill worker at Jackson Cabinet for several years. Preceding him in death were his father, Stansell Pete Carter, Sr., and his sister, Gloria Hoven. He is survived by his mother, Lola D. Carter of Jackson, AL; brother, Gaines Carter of Jackson, AL; brother-in-law, Sidney Hoven of Salitpa, AL; first cousins, Bill (Carolyn) Dortch of Leroy, AL; James (Jerry) Reeves of Jackson, AL, Bobby (Jean) Reeves of Jackson, AL, Billy (Daisy) Reeves of Jackson, AL. Jimmy (Carolyn) Reeves of Birmingham, AL and Frances (Jerry) Connerly of Collegedale, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. David Gonnella, Pastor of Magnolia Springs Baptist Church in Theodore, AL officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at River Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers are Don Day, Sonny Hudson, Bobby Reeves, Billy Reeves, Skeet Davis, Brian Reeves, Jimmy Reeves and Larry Singley.
