She left school to marry her beloved Edward, but later attained her GED. She and Edward were members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for over 15 years where she kept attendance for the middle and junior high school children. She and Edward attended Broadmoor Baptist Church for many years where they were known as Papa and Gigi in the nursery. She loved the Lord and shared her faith with the women of the Central Mississippi Women’s Correctional facility.
She worked in retail for many years at the Emporium, Bill’s Burger House and Ulmer’s Stride Rite shoes. Later in life she was a caregiver to children and the elderly.
She was a friend to everyone and loved hugs from her grandchildren and the many children she claimed as hers. She loved fishing but she needed her Eddie or children close to take it off the hook for her. Her fun-loving personality and zest for life will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alli Mae Hicks Lott, her father John Thomas Lott, Sr, her brothers, John Thomas Lott, Jr, Robert Lott, Billy Lott, and Jimmy Lott, her sisters, Frances Crawford and Mary Johnson and her husband of 46 years, Edward Thibodeaux.
