Dale Victor Brown

Dale Victor Brown, 89, of Raymond went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 28, 2013, with his family at his side, at the VA Medical Center. When he left this world, he left us with a legacy of love and devotion that has been and continues to be a lesson for all of us. He was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church and resided at Riggs Manor.

He was born in Simpson County to Willie Amherst Brown and Georgia Fortenberry Brown. He served in the Pacific during WWII in the Navy. After returning home, he married is childhood sweetheart, Etoile Roberts. They moved to Jackson where he worked as a plumber and maintenance man for many years. In 1995 he retired from Mississippi College as the Supervisor of Housekeeping

Dale was preceded in death by both parents and 3 brothers, Claude, Frank and Bob and 3 sisters, Hazel, Inez and Mary Sue.

Daddy Dale, as he was called is survived by his wife Etoile; they were married 65 years, his son, Vic (Paula) Brown, his grandchildren, Casey (John) Butler, Shelley Brown. Andy (Leanne) Brown and Carter Brown. He also had 3 great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Allyssa Butler and Anna Brown.
