
Father Donald Wallace Lloyd died on Sunday, October 17, 2010. Father Lloyd was born on February 4, 1912, in Randolph, Wisconsin and graduated from Randolph High School in 1930. Father Lloyd attended the University of Wisconsin and Nashotah House where he graduated from the Seminary with a Divinity degree. Father Lloyd was later awarded a Doctor of Divinity in 1960 from Nashotah House. His service included Chaplain at Bellevue Hospital in New York, New York; Vicar at St. James Mission in Ozone Park, New York; Christ Chapel in Brooklyn, New York; Rector at Trinity Church in Ossining, New York; Assistant Priest at St. Albans Parish in Los Angeles, California; Rector at St. James Church in Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and Priest in Charge at St. Mark’s Church in Denver, Colorado. Upon his retirement, Father Lloyd moved to St. Catherine’s in Madison, Mississippi.
His parents, Lewis Lloyd and Sadie Blanche Beals Lloyd, his brother, Douglas Lewis Lloyd, and his sister, Dorothy Lloyd Graf, predeceased him. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Trisagion Prayers of Mercy for the Departed will be offered at St. Peter Antiochian Orthodox Church, Saint Augustine Road, Madison, Mississippi, on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Mark’s in Denver, Colorado, on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 7 p.m. with burial to follow on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Laurence Basilica in Tallahassee Creek, Colorado.
