Doreen Bush

Doreen Ferguson Bush of Clinton went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the age of 56. Doreen was born to Trinidad P. and Clifton C. Ferguson, Jr. in Karamursel, Turkey on November 3, 1959.

Being part of a military family, Doreen lived in many parts of the world before the family settled in Clinton. She was a 1977 graduate of Clinton High School and a 1979 graduate of Hinds Junior College. Doreen accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Doreen was loved by many. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends, many of whom also called her "Mama D". She was known for opening up her home to anyone and everyone, including many pets she loved dearly. Doreen had a zest for life and was known for her dry wit and friendly sarcasm. She loved going on bike trips and singing karaoke with her many friends and was an avid Alabama football fan.

Doreen was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She adored her grandson and enjoyed spending time with him.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton C. Ferguson, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Trinidad P. Ferguson; children, Lauren Elizabeth Bush, Christopher Michael Bush, Carly Michelle Bush, their father J. Michael Bush; grandson, Braxton Lane Bush; sisters, Edna Jordan Davis (Mike), Trina Ferguson Cobb (David), Cheryl Ferguson Hales (Perry), Karen Ferguson Nolan (Greg), many nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, Clinton Boulevard on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Northside Baptist Church, Clinton, MS on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
