Earline Finch Slawson

Earline Finch Slawson, 102, passed away at Compere's Nursing Home, Jackson, MS, on February 17, 2020. She was born in Lumberton, MS, on August 5, 1917, to Guy and Lucy Flora Finch, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Slawson was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Slawson; brothers, Francis C. Finch and Dorles Guy Finch; sister-in-law, Elizabeth L. Finch and niece, Cynthia L. Finch.

The Slawson's made their home in Jackson for many years before moving to Brandon. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanie Mills (Richard) of Brandon; grandchildren, Kent Mills (Ginny) of Brandon, and Lisa Stringer (Bobby) of Austin, TX; and great grandchildren, Chloe, Mollie and Lily Stringer. She is also survived by nieces, Christi Stewart and Suzanne McCoy of Clinton.

There will be a family committal service on Friday, February 21, 2020 At 3:00 PM, at Lakewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made in memory of Earline to St. Columb's Episcopal Church, 550 Sunnybrook Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

Our family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers over the last ten years at Villa South Assisted Living and Compere's Nursing Home.
