Floid was a welder. His first jobs were in shipyards in Mobile, Alabama and in Houston, Texas. Later, he worked for trucking companies, retiring from ABF in 1986. He then devoted his energies to cattle farming. He loved the country and the cows. He continued to keep the cows even when he could no longer go to the farm. Working was his passion. It was his “hobby”. He had little understanding of people who didn’t live to work as he did.
He will be incredibly missed by his family and friends who loved and admired his strength and courage, his love of life and his sense of humor. The family wishes to express their grateful appreciation to Dr. John Biggs, his doctor and friend.
