Floyd Larry Wooley

Floyd Larry (Sonny) Wooley, 87, went to be with The Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2014.  Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday January 6, 2014 from the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, Jackson, with visitation from 1:00pm till 2:00pm.  Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Wooley was born on March 20, 1926 to Thadious Leon Wooley and Mamie Cupid Wooley.  He served as a Marine Corporal in World War ll.  He married Clara McKay and they spent many years in Jackson where they enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.  He also enjoyed fishing.  Mr. Wooley worked for the City of Jackson and Haygood Trucking Company until retirement.

 Mr. Wooley was preceded in death by wife Clara McKay Wooley; parents, Leon and Mamie Wooley; brothers, Marshall Wooley and Troy Wooley (Bertie); and sister, Cassie Wooley Bailey  (Marvin).  He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
