

Helen Faye Taylor, 90, of Clinton, Mississippi, passed away on April 18, 2026. Born December 17, 1935, in Forest, Mississippi to William and Pearl Chambers. Helen’s life was marked by steady devotion—to her family, her work, and the responsibilities she carried with quiet dignity.
Helen worked for the Mississippi Department of Disability Services, a role that reflected a deep respect for others and a commitment to serving her community with care and professionalism.
She married Raymond Taylor in Jackson, MS, and together they built a family that remains a lasting testament to the love and constancy that shaped her life. She was preceded in death by her father, William Chambers; her mother, Pearl Chambers; her husband, Raymond Taylor; two sisters, three brothers; and her granddaughter, Caitlin S Powell.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Donna Roger (Ronnie) of Clinton, Mississippi; Debra Ditta (Vic) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Diann Sollie (Billy) of Meridian, Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Michelle Downey, Mellisa Boutwell (Jason), Marie Wall (Roe), Anthony Ditta (Ashley), Anna Ditta, and Steven Sollie (Candi); 12 great grandchildren and 1great great grandson.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on April 24, 2026, at Lakewood Memorial Park-South, 430 McClure Rd, Jackson, MS 39212.
