James (Jim) Aubrey Finklea, 92, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, April 3, 2026, following a graveside service at 11:00 AM. Lakewood Funeral Home and Cemetery.
A native of Leland, MS, Mr. Finklea was a Master Machinist and a Korean War Veteran. He is preceded in death in death by his beloved wife, Peggy; his sisters, Kitten and Virginia. He is survived by his four children: son, James Aubrey Finklea II, daughter, Pamela K. Finklea; son, Perry D. Finklea and wife Melanie; son, Joel R. Finklea and wife Nancy; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He especially had a close relationship with his great-grandson, Haze Tauscher, who helped greatly in his care. The family would like to thank Mrs. Shirley for the decades of neighborly love and support that she showed their dad.
Jim always donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family request that in lieu of sending flowers please honor James Aubrey Finklea and donate to St. Jude.
