

Jan Phillips Lee, 63, of Clinton, MS passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 Monday, January 18, 2016 with the funeral service being at 1:00 at Lakewood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery.
Jan was born in Henryetta, OK to Chuck and JoEtta Phillips. She resided in Clinton, MS for forty-eight years. She worked for thirty-three years at Trustmark, spending most of her years as Student Financial Aid Director and she retired in 2012. She was a longtime member of the MS Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. She was a founding member of St. John’s United Methodist and a member for forty years. She spent many hours crocheting baby blankets and had donated fifty blankets to Batson’s Children’s Hospital.
She faced her illness of Scleroderma with dignity, grace, strength and courage in each step. She is free of that difficult road now. She is rejoicing with JESUS. We remember her for her bright eyes, shining smile, gusty laugh and beautiful voice.
Her parents, Chuck and JoEtta Phillips, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, George Lee; son, Jimmy Lee (Dana) of Clinton; Sister, Barbara Martin (Tom) of Clinton; Brother Jim Phillips (Cynthia) of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Anna Lauren Lee and Tanner Lee of Clinton; three nephews, Stephen Phillips, Jonathan Phillips and Kevin Phillips of Greenwood.
