

Jeanette Farrow was born in Greenwood, MS on March 28, 1928. She passed away at her daughter’s home on Saturday September 1, 2012, after a lengthy battle with leukemia. She is preceded in death by her parents Ned and Grace Lacy, her brother Travis Lacy, and her husband of fifty-four years Ernest E. Farrow.
She is survived by her son Ernie Farrow, Jr. and her daughter Kathy F. Vomberg, both of Madison, MS; and two granddaughters: Amanda Lockey of Madison, MS and Cameron Williams of Ridgeland, MS; and five great grandchildren: Lacy and Payton Lockey, Ian and Isabella Williams, and Beta Staten.
She graduated from Sunflower High School in Moorhead and Sunflower Junior College. She, with her husband and later with her friends, was an avid U.S. and world traveler accumulating a wealth of knowledge throughout the world. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a devoted friend to many. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson where she was a loyal attendant of the Hope and Joy Sunday School class, the Ava Burton Circle of the WMU, and a visitor and assistant in the Homebound Ministry. She sang in the Senior Adult Reflection Choir and was a dedicated servant of the floral committee. She was also an officer of the Heritage Club of Jackson. Her desire to help others was reflected in the many friends she ministered to with food, cards, and flowers from her garden. She was a selfless, unique special human being and a devout follower of her Lord Jesus Christ.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation in the chapel at First Baptist Church of Jackson on Tuesday September 4 at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Clinton, MS. The family is honored to have the following pallbearers: Ernie Farrow, Jr., Kurt Vomberg, Payton Lockey, Dr. Marvin Jeter, Jimmy Smith, David Warrington, Bobby Horton, Kenneth Lacy, Danny Smith and Tim Lacy.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bobby Graham, Dr. Marvin Jeter, cousin of the family, and Mrs. Shymeka Bolden for their wonderful and loving care during her illness.
