He was born the second child of 10 children to Bud and Robbie Wiggs in Calhoun county Mississippi on March 13, 1931. He married Eva Mae Hancock June 4, 1955 and resided in Jackson Mississippi until relocating to New Hebron in 1995.
Jimmy was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean War. He was a member of Forest Hill Masonic Lodge #613 and was a Past Master of the Lodge.
Jimmy was an automobile parts salesman who began his career with Osborne and Abston in 1954. He also worked for Parts & Equipment Inc. until retiring in 1997.
Two brothers, Hosie Wiggs of Mendenhall Ms, and Joe Wiggs of Vardaman Ms preceded him in death. As well as his son-in law Richard Keys of Jackson, Ms.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Eva Mae Wiggs of New Hebron. He is also survived by four children: Dee Wiggs and his wife Brenda, Gary Wiggs and his wife Amye, Wayne Wiggs and his wife Charisse, and daughter Jennifer Keys. He is also survived by four brothers: Sam Wiggs, Robert Wiggs, Jerry Wiggs, and Larry Wiggs. He is also survived by three sisters: Louise Smith, Shirley Hubbard, and Patricia Marshall.
Jimmy is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Chad Wiggs, Matt Wiggs, Joseph Wiggs, Amanda Vaughn, Leslie Jackson, and Mollie Woods, and 12 great grandchildren.
