John A. Dunlap, age 81, of Brandon, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm and Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 10 am to 11 am with a funeral service to follow at Lakewood Funeral Home. Interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.
John retired after 22 years from the Flowood Police Department as a Sergeant. John served his country in the United States Army. He loved to fish, play on the computer, watch tv, play solitaire and go camping.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Dunlap and Mildred Lamkin Dunlap; brother, Kenneth Dunlap. He is survived by sons, John A. Dunlap, Jr.,(Alexis), Jimmy Dunlap; daughters, Terri Pietrzak (John), Kimberly Howell (Bobby), Amanda Dunlap (Skip); brothers, Robert Dunlap, Jimmy Dunlap (Theresa), Mickey Dunlap (Betty) and Fred Dunlap (Debbie); sister-in-law, Marjorie Dunlap; grandchildren, Sophie Park, Reid Holland, Dylan Dunlap, Katie Dunlap and Lyla Dunlap; great grandchildren, Addison Cole and Evan Holland.
