Johnny T Taylor, age 79, of Clinton, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. A visitation for Johnny will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Johnny was born on August 20, 1943 in McCool, MS. For the better part of his working life, he worked as a welder and fabricator at Fountain in Jackson, MS. Johnny was a dedicated father and was known as a patriotic, god fearing, and simple man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Huffman and Ruby E. Taylor; and his daughter, Kimberly Ann Kennedy.
Johnny is survived by his son, John Kirkland Taylor; his grandchildren- Devin Taylor, Ryan Kennedy, and Taylor Kennedy; and his brothers- George Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, and William Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
