Kenneth R. Ervin, Jr

Mr. Ervin was born on August 22, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Kenneth R. Ervin, Sr. and Inez Fabre Ervin.

Mr. Ervin was precedent in death by his parents, Kenneth R. Ervin, Sr. and Inez Fabre Ervin; his son-in-law, Mike Ming, mother of his children, Heather Rodger Ervin and his beloved fur babies, Josh and Sallie.

Mr. Ervin was a retired dispatcher for UPS. He was a graduate of Provine High School in Jackson, Mississippi; attended Mississippi State University; and, was a member of the United States Air Force. While attending MSU he was a member of the ROTC and received awards for his marksmanship and won several shooting competitions. While serving in the United States Air Force he served in France. He also received several accommodations and medals for his excellent marksmanship. He received his aviator’s license for single engine airplanes from the Mississippi School of Aviation at Hawkins Field in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mr. Ervin is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Ervin Burgoyne (Michael) and Susan Ervin Ming; his sister Sandra Ervin Dean; nieces Shelly Burt and Brandy English; grandchildren Heather Clayton and Danny Clayton; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sweet cat, Tabby.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Cemetery in Utica, Mississippi.
