

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday May 21, 2011 from St. John The Theologian and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation will be Friday between the hours of 5 and 8 PM at Wright and Ferguson on High St. A Trisaigon Service will be held at 7:00 PM in the Suite. Interment will follow the service Saturday in Lakewood Cemetery.
Born in Patmos Greece, KiKi had lived in Jackson for 58 years. Her husband Emanuel came to Jackson in 1947 and opened the Lamar Restaurant. In 1952 he went back to Greece and married Kiki in 1953 and came back to Jackson. Emanuel died in 1979 and she ran the business until 2008. The restaurant still operates under her son Chris Grillis. She was a member of St. John The Theologian and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She was the former President of Philoptohos (Greek Women’s Organization).
Survivors include her daughter, Maria Grillis Bowman; Two sons Chris Grillis (Janet) of Ridgeland, Dr. Michael Grillis ( Dr. Melanie) of Fremont, OH; Grandchildren, Nina and Alexa Grillis, and Manny and Kari Grillis; sisters Thalia Kefalas of Wilmington, NC and Ephimia Vallas of Sidney, Australia: Brothers Bobby Foropoulos of Mobile, Makis Foropoulos of Mobile, AL., and Nick Foropoulos of Athens, Greece. She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister Evangilia Foropoulos.
