Lyle Edward Crandall

Lyle Crandall, 80, died peacefully surrounded by his family Tues., Jan. 13, 2015. He was a native of Rhinelander, Wisconsin and was the youngest of four siblings. Visitation will be held on Thurs., Jan. 15, 2015 at 10 am followed by a celebration of life at 11 am, Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home, Clinton, MS.

Lyle was a wonderful man who loved God, his family and country. He was a product of the Great Depression who believed that hard work was the rule not the exception. His love was unconditional and he expected nothing in return. He believed that his word was his bond and a handshake sealed the deal. His family will miss his advice and wisdom, but most of all his love. Lyle was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Minnie Crandall of Rhinelander, WI; his first wife, Zelline in 1979; brothers, Cliff and Wesley Crandall; sister, Ruth Kaphaem. Survivors include wife, Jean Crandall; his son, Michael Crandall (Susan); two grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan of Madison, MS and daughter, Sandra Burt (Don) of Brandon, MS and his grandson, Christopher Maldonado of Baltimore, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Marvin UMC, 211 North Church St,, Florence, MS 39073 or a charity of your choice.
