Marilyn Denise Moore passed peacefully into God’s loving presence, leaving behind a legacy defined by compassion, humility, and unwavering service to others. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, and friend—a woman whose life reflected faith in action and love without condition.
Marilyn dedicated her life to serving others and was a true example of servant leadership. She had an extraordinary gift for seeing people, meeting them where they were, and offering help without hesitation or expectation. Whether known to her or a stranger she had just met, Marilyn’s heart was always open. Her kindness was not performative—it was instinctive, sincere, and deeply rooted in who she was.
Throughout the entirety of her children’s education, Marilyn faithfully volunteered at their schools, giving her time, energy, and care so that others might feel supported, encouraged, and seen. Her presence was steady, reliable, and full of warmth. She taught by example, showing that quiet dedication and consistent service can shape lives in powerful ways.
Above all, Marilyn was a devoted and loving mother. Her children were endlessly proud to call her Mom—not only because of what she did, but because of who she was. She raised her family with love, grace, and an unshakable moral compass, nurturing empathy, generosity, and faith in all those around her.
Marilyn was preceded in God’s heavenly journey by her beloved parents, Thomas Jefferson Fleming II and Francis Leona Fleming (Longino), as well as her husband, Michael Lawrence Moore. She now reunites with them in eternal peace.
She is survived by her loving children, Jon Moore and Kristy England. Kristy is joined by her husband, Jarrett England.
Jon is joined by his wife, Brittany Moore, and their children, Landrey Moore and Wyatt Moore, whom Marilyn adored deeply and loved beyond measure.
Marilyn Denise Moore leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched, the family she loved so deeply, and the example she set through her selfless service. While she will be profoundly missed, her spirit endures in every act of kindness, every helping hand, and every moment of quiet compassion inspired by her life. Her life was love, and her love was a gift to us all.
