Mavis W. Dees, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 12 to 2 pm at Lakewood South Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park.
Mavis was born on November 23, 1930 to the late, Odell and Lacie Wilkerson in Philadelphia, MS.
Mavis was preceded in death by husbands, Bonner Hall and Elgie Dees, parents; and five siblings.
She is survived by son, Dwight Dees (Patricia); daughter, Debbie Sheffield (Doug); brothers, Bob Wilkerson (Dorothy) and Steve Wilkerson (Jenny Lynn); sisters, Frances Page and Faye Hoyt (Robert); grandchildren, Tracy Lindsay (Paul), Kevin Dees (Melanie), Daniel Sheffield, Brad Dees (Michele), Megan Sheffield and Alex Sheffield; seven great grandchildren.
