Richard Lick

Mr. Lick was born 09 February 1928 to George Wesley Lick and Lucinda Flanagan Lick in Inverness, MS, and married the former, Miss Kathryn Hayles on 16 October 1947. He worked for Mississippi Power & Light Company and Entergy for 39 years and was a member of the Local International Brotherhood Electrical Workers. The Licks were former members of Van Winkle Baptist Church of Jackson, present members of the Parkway Baptist Church of Clinton and long-time residents of Jackson. He was a family man who enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, working on engines, inventing new gadgets, and carpentry. He was a great neighbor and friend to all.

Mr. Lick was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Lick; 2 sons, Mike Lick of Jackson, Randy Lick of Gastonia, NC and 1 daughter, Diane Lick of Crystal Springs, MS; and 3 grandchildren and one great-grand child.

Visitation will be at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd in Jackson Thursday, January 15th from 5:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, January 16th at 10:00 a.m.
