He attended Oak Forest Elementary and Jackson Christian Academy. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, and was an avid MS. State Fan. He was employed at Red Arrow for approximately 27 years where he made many friends. He was raised in First Pentecostal Church and considered this his church home.
He is survived by three sons, one daughter, and one grandchild; Alex (Anna) Thames, Christian Thames, Bailey Thames, Destini Thames, and grandchild, Winter Grace Thames; paternal grandfather, Bob (Loretta) Thames; maternal grandmother, Johnnie Brister; mother, Regina (Dave) Roden; father, Glenn (Brenda) Thames; two sisters, Andrea (Jeremy) Lewis and Jennifer (Stephen) McKlemurry; one brother, John Roden and many nieces and nephews.
He will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS.
