Ruth Henrietta Gomoll Haase was born in the Township of Bear Creek, WI to Albert Herman Gomoll and Lena Ernstina Klemp on September 5, 1925. Ruth was raised on a farm, much to her dislike. She met the love of her life, Calvin C. (Kelly) Haase at Clintonville High School. While Kelly served in World War II for the Navy, Ruth worked as a clerk. On December 6, 1947, Kelly took her away from farm life. In 1948 she gave birth to the other love of her life, Thomas C. Haase, her son. She relished motherhood and being a wife. In 1953, the Haase family moved to El Paso, TX where she resided until 2003. When the demands of her home lessened, Ruth went to work for the El Paso School System where she was a teacher's aide for students with disabilities. People remember the great joy she expressed at being there to help students learn. She had many, many friends and wonderful neighbors in El Paso and the Haase family attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Kelly and Ruth were very involved in the ministry of the church and their outreach efforts. In 2003, Ruth moved to Mississippi to be near her family. While in Mississippi, she once again became very close with neighbors and enjoying good times with them. She was involved with women's ministry and bible studies at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She also attended pilates and was always eager to spend time with great nieces and nephew. Anyone who knew Ruth, knew she was always available to help and give, but rarely wanted to be waited on. Sometimes she could be stubborn about wanting to do things her way, but that just made her more lovable. She often said she could not go to Heaven until all of the bills were paid. Jesus said I have paid all of your debts. Come on Home!
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband and son; her grandson, Michael; her sisters, Anita Hermsen and Dorothy Smith and nephew, David Liebergan.
She is survived by her grandson, Steven (Kellyn) Haase; two great granddaughters; nephews, David (Linda) Haase, Keith (Valorie) Smith, Harold Liebergan; her niece Eileen (Robert) Milner; grand nieces, Amanda (Casey) Ming and Allison Milner; grand nephew, Andrew Milner and great grandniece, Adelyn Milner and Millie Ruth Ming.
